Indy 500 "A walk through time" wins big at the New York Festivals

Proud to announce that the Indianapolis 500 Intro won almost in every category in which it was nominated, seven in total including my rol as BEST ART DIRECTION (Gold Medal). The piece also won Best Direction (Gold), Copywriting (Silver), Editing (Silver), Sports Program Opener and Titles (Silver) and Original Music (Bronze).

The Indy 500 opening also won the highest recognition in the New York Festival, the "Grand Trophy" as Best Program Opener and Titles.

I want to congratulate all the amazing team that I worked with, it's a privilege to work with such talented people.

8th Nomination to the EMMY Awards

Happy to announce that the 2011 Indianapolis 500 Opening is once again nominated by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the Sports EMMY Awards.

The piece is competing in the Best Opening Tease category against other amazing work like the NBA on TNT and the Army-Navy game opening from CBS. Check out the full list of nominees here:

I'm very happy to be nominated for the 8th time to the EMMYs and been recognized by the industry on my Art Direction craft. It is a true privilege to work with such an amazing team of directors and producers. A big shout to my talented friends Director Ben Orisich, Writer Barrett Esposito, 3D guru Jianchao Lee, Music Composer Uly Millan... and the lovely orchestrator Kate Jackson.

I love my job!

Lecturing at the BAUHAUS

The most influential school of Design disciplines, The German BAUHAUS invited me to do a lecture for their Master of Arts in Integrated Design program. I'll be supporting the Master program in my professional area of specialization as Art Director and Broadcast Designer.

"This MAID program (Master of Arts in Integrated Design) incorporates the essential design disciplines with the creative subjects of communication design, product design, space, audiovisual and digital media. They are brought together through rigorous fundamental training and interdisciplinary problem solving. These integrative components form the contour of the Master program."

The Bauhaus style became one of the most influential currents in Modern Design, with a profound influence upon subsequent developments in art, architecture, graphic design, interior design, industrial design and typography. Some outstanding artist from the Bauhaus are Walter Gropious, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian.

I'll be in Dessau, Germany the last week of May giving this lecture.

The 2012 TV & Film Awards ceremony for The World's Best TV & Films will be held on April 17th in conjunction with The NAB in Las Vegas.

The Original Zombie

I've been invited to participate in the "Original Zombie" Art Show at Eight of Swords Gallery organized by Todd Kanfer and veteran tattooer Dave C. Wallin.
The opening will be on April 5th displaying the work of many local NY Tattoo Artist an their interpretation of the origins of the brain eaters."The premise of the show, just in time for Easter, celebrates the first and most well known case of the walking dead, Jesus! While, JC may have been the first zombie, he certainly hasn't been the last. What better way to memorialize the origins of the undead genre but to have an exhibition featuring Zombie/Walking Dead related artwork by our favorite local artists?"

Finally my website is up! For long I wanted to have my own web presence reflecting my style and personal sensibilities. This site is the platform where I will display my art in the different disciplines I love. The place to meet with friends, potential clients, tattoo collectors and art seekers.
